Producing their
second telenovela
Zabranjena ljubav (Forbidden Love) is a Croatian telenovela recorded under the license and with the production of FremantleMedia and the local TV channel RTL Televizija.

TL Televizija is a Croatian commercial TV channel, 65.5% of which belongs to RTL Group. In 2004 they started competing at a national level as the second commercial channel, after NOVA TV. They achieved popularity through their series, reality shows like Big Brother; talk shows like Sanja and their own telenovelas with a Croatian touch like Zabranjena ljubav.
Among their offer there are cartoons, movies, news programs and even live and direct sports.
RTL is the second most watched channel in Croatia after the national channel HRT, and it covers approximately 95% of the Croatian territory.

Zabranjena ljubav (Forbidden Love) is a Croatian telenovela recorded under the license and with the production of FremantleMedia and RTL Televizija. The story of this telenovela is universal, but with an adaptation to the characteristics of the national lifestyle and its people. Characters are performed by Croatian actors, shootings are all made in familiar locations and the whole equipment is made by specialists on each field required to make a telenovela production.
In comparison to other productions of the same genre also broadcasted in Croatia, Zabranjena ljubav is a lot more realistic and people can identify better with its heroes.
Shootings started on August 9th 2004 and to June 2005 they had made 180 episodes of 45 minutes each, and 20% of them were shot on location, luxurious houses, tennis courts and other locations familiar to the Croatian audience.
The whole project involves more than 150 people, 15 of which write the scripts and dialogs (Gareth Brookes, Steven Zanoski, Dorotea Vucic, Tomislav
Stefanac, Tomislav Hrpka, Marijana Nola, Luka Rukavina, Matija Klukovic, Nikolina Culjak, Sanja Kovacevic, Philipa Burne and Ivana Misetc?).

There are five directors (Berislav Makarovic, Bostjan Vrhovec, Milivoj Puhlovski, Nikola Ivanda, and Mirna Milicevic); one creative producer, Milivoj Puhlovski; one executive producer, Milo Grisogno; another producer, Sue Green; eighteen permanent actors and a lot of guest actors and with appearances.
Apart from renowned and experienced TV, movie and stage actors like Sanja Vejnovic, Nada Rocco, Vanja Matujec, Katija Zubcic, Marina Kostelec, Velimir Cokljata and Drazen Mikulica, there are also recently graduated actors and some others who have not graduated yet.
The main actors in this telenovela are Zoran Pribicevic, Anita Berisha, Filip Ridicki, Vanja Matujec, Dejan Marcikic, Marija Kobic, Mario Valentic, Nada Rocco, Mirna Medakovic, Drazen Mikulic, Velimir Cokljat, Petra Kurtela, Marina Kostelac, Ivan Martinec, Katja Zubcic, Antonija Sola, Vesna Tominac and Marin Knezevic.
